Have you ever wanted to use art-making as a means of supporting your mental health but were never sure how or where to start? 

Here, I offer virtual personalized individual Art Psychotherapy (Art Therapy) sessions to support you in whatever brings you to therapy. Together, we can figure out how to achieve your specific goals and needs. 

These sessions can benefit anyone regardless of whether or not you have had any prior experience or background with art or using art materials.

Whether your child is struggling with school, life transitions, or challenging feeling experiences, art can be a wonderful tool to help them express themselves. Help your teen find security within through verbal psychotherapy, art, art-making, and the creative process.

What is Art Therapy?

As defined by the American Art Therapy Association (AATA), "Art Therapy is an integrative mental health and human services profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship.

​Art Therapy, effectively supports personal and relational treatment goals as well as community concerns. Art Therapy is used to improve cognitive and sensory-motor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight, enhance social skills, reduce and resolve conflicts and distress, and advance societal and ecological change."

Sliding Scale ($125-100) available for those with limited income

Low fee rates ($90-75) are available for those identifying as black, indigenous, or a person of color.

It is your responsibility to inquire about your in & out-of-network coverage with your insurance company. If you are out of network and have out-of-network benefits, I am partnered with Thrizer. Depending on your plan, it can save you anywhere from 20-50% off session rates once you meet your deductible.



Unless other arrangements have previously been made, payment is due at the time of the session. A full 24-hour notice of cancellation is required to avoid charges.

What to expect in session:

  • A weekly video call via HIPPA Compliant Zoom with Rumi

    (All new clients are required to commit to weekly sessions starting out in order to establish therapeutic goals, rapport, and to set you up for therapeutic success.

    Please note that not everyone may qualify for bi-weekly sessions depending on a client’s level of need. However, depending on your needs and progress, bi-weekly sessions may be considered and offered later on in treatment if appropriate.)

  • Receive support around the challenges and goals you wish to address​

  • To have the option to do art therapy, talk therapy, or both depending on your comfort level and need​​​

  • Depending on your goals, being assigned "homework" to continue supporting you outside of sessions if necessary

  • To bring your own art materials

  • To be in a safe, quiet, and confidential space that is free of distractions

  • To have a stable internet connection

  • Be willing to be on camera
